Once again it has been too long between posts. I have a lot of updates but I am sure I won't be able to remember everything.

Caleb is singing "twinkle twinkle little star" as I sit here and type this. He just started singing this recenty as well as "ashes ashes all fall down". To sit here and type all of the new things he has learned/said would take me forever and even then I would still forget half of the things..so I will just say he has learned a lot and has a vocabulary of too many words to count! I recently made a pair of spongbob pajamas disappear. These were the only pajamas he would wear and he would not sleep if he couldn't wear them. A few days back they needed washed and he went 2 nights without them(sleeping in just a pull-up, no other pjs were acceptable)but he slept without spongebob pj's so I figured that was a good point to just get rid of them, he has since slept in several other pajamas and only occasionally says "sponge bobs all gone". He is really starting to like trains and says chugga chugga choo choo everytime he sees one.

Yesterday he was evaluated for the IU preschool and was found eligible in all areas. This was not a surprise, even considering the amount of progress he has made. He will be going to preschool 2 days/week starting in October. He will recieve his speech therapy and occupational therapy at preschool. The professionals that evaluated him say that he has a lot of great skills and told me that a lot of things he can do is not typical of children with Autism. They believe he is fine cognitively, it is just getting him to sit still so that he can prove what he knows, and learn new things.

Uncle David is getting married in November and Caleb is going to be in the wedding. I can't imagine him walking down the aisle, but we are going to attempt it. haha

Caleb will be 3 on the 29th! I am having a small, immediate family-only party for him on Sat Oct1st. It will be Mickey Mouse theme. Last Sunday I took him to get his 3rd birthday pictures taken, not expecting any miracles..just planned to pick the best of the poses and get the cheap package deal. He surprised everyone and did WONDERFUL for his pictures and there were so many good ones that I ended up purchasing the DVD w/ copyright privledges to the pictures! I was so proud!
